A Chiropractor can determine whether your headache is treatable in his/ her clinic or whether you need to be referred to another health care pro- vider. The typical tension headache is usually caused by tight muscles and misaligned vertebraes in the upper neck. Treatment consists of relaxing and stretching the tight muscles and realigning the vetebrae to stop the tension in the muscles and pressure on the nerves. Treatment can consist of accupressure, massage, manual traction, ultrasound, cold laser and Chiropractic adjustment. Relief is usually immediate and long lasting.
